INTROVERT AND EXTROVERT IN OUR DAILY LIFE
INTROVERT-An Introvert is a person who tends to focus on their own thoughts and feelings, and energized by being alone
EXTROVERT- An extrovert is person who is energized by being around other people.
Many confuse introversion with shyness, shyness is discomfort or self-consciousness in the presence of others, usually involving fears of being judged or criticized.
Introversion refers to energy flow and the tendency of some people to draw energy from the inner world- their focus is inward, on ideas and reflection, and they typically seek solitude to recharge batteries. Introverts typically prefer to have time to gather their thoughts before jumping into conversation. But introverts often have strong listening skills, which can give them advantage in interviews. Introverts finds it challenging when writing resumes, they are uncomfortable with self promotion, and there is a misconception that resumes contain exaggeration and hyperbole, or that they involve bragging, no resumes speaks of your accomplishment so as to sell yourself to your employer.
Extrovert doesn’t necessarily mean being outgoing, although many extroverts are. Extroversion means refers to energy flow and the tendency of some people to draw energy from the outer world –their focus is on people and activities around them. When it comes to the core activities involved in a job search, extrovert have key strengths that will serve them well, but they also have challenges associated with their extroverted characteristics.
The pitfall for extrovert is becoming overconfident in their verbal skills and, as a result, not taking time to prepare for the interview. In resume writing extrovert may find themselves less motivated for the more solitary activity of resume writing. A tip for extrovert in resume writing is to get others involve in the process of writing resume, to help them remember their accomplishment.
